All the below photos, unless otherwise stated, came in a stack with a portrait of James Madison Decker, given to Carlene St. John by a relation of the Nobles and Zumwalts. It is unknown as to which families these photos belong. They could be Gannong, Decker, Bidwell, St. John, Nobles or Zumwalts or any other variant, friends of the family etc. These families were based in the Butte County, Lassen County, Shasta County, Tehama, Chico, Orland, Fall River Mills, and Nelson, areas of Northern California. There were also relations living in Indiana, and Michigan, possibly Pennsylvania.
Possibly the Bidwells, relations of the Deckers. George Decker married a daughter of the Bidwell family. This came with pictures from my grandfather that also contained photos of Delia, James and other Decker relations. |
